Buckets
A friend of mine, Elmer Glassing, sent me an email and asked if I knew anything about making buckets. Well, a little and it had been years since I had made one. Elmer said there isn’t a whole lot on the internet about making them, so....I decided to put something on the internet and this project video was born.
I had a lot of fun with this project and I hope you do to.

Taper Safely
Ya know, those little aluminum taper jigs aren’t the safest thing to use in a workshop. Through the years, my students were so frightened of using it that I designed a safer model. In the summer of 2007 we thought we might make and sell the jig, and did sell about 100 or so. We couldn’t get it manufactured at a reasonable price and we didn’t have the time to continue making them to sell so we decided to share the plans and let you make your own. Enjoy and remember to be safe in your shop, whatever you are doing.

The Hancock Shaker Clock
This clock project is a great weekend project that will give you the opportunity to use many woodworking techniques and is a great project for all skill levels, beginning to professional. The higher the skill, the more refined you can make it. The lower skill level, a beautiful clock piece while learning some woodworking skills.
As you view the videos and read this companion guide, please keep in mind that Charles does not build in precise dimensions but allows his material make the determination. Sometimes a bit larger, sometimes a bit smaller. The material list and rough cut list are guides only. This is your project, adjust according to what materials you have available.
In the video, as with this reference, we try to bring the information to you in a simplistic format so that you too will be successful in making your clock. When you're finished, please send a photo via email to workshopofcharlesneil@msn.com so that we can include it in our gallery on our web site.

Shenandoah Valley Quilt Rack
The Shenandoah Valley Quilt Rack is a piece that I have frequently made and sold over the years. I own the original that inspired this design, the entire story of how I came to own this little jewel is a part of the video. The entire project is covered in five episodes. There is a downloadable reference guide which includes actual size patterns for the post and feet. This is a great small project that doesn’t cost a lot but has a lot of good woodworking techniques. Since the release of the videos in 2008, many of you have shared photos of your completed project. We encourage everyone to view what other woodworkers, just like yourself, have accomplished with these videos. Be sure and email your photos when you’re done!
